SYNRG

Terms for people in the room

SYNRG is the tool a gathering uses to hear everyone in the room — on the big screen, on your phone and at the tables. Signing in to an event's page, joining a room, or writing on a table's page means you agree to these terms.

What is kept

What anonymous means here. Answers in a room are anonymous to the organizers and to the room: they are stored without your name, email or sign-in, and nothing identifies you on the screen or in the organizers' downloads — unless the organizers tell you on your page that answers are tied to people. Like any web service, SYNRG's own servers keep ordinary technical logs (IP address, device, time) for up to 90 days to keep the service safe; those are never given to organizers or shown to a room, and SYNRG does not use them to work out who answered except where the law requires it or to protect the service from abuse.

What you answer in a room is kept with the room, without your name, unless the organizers tell you on your page that answers are tied to people. What is written on a table's page — cards, the table's answer, notes — is kept with the table and the session, with the name of whoever wrote it, for the organizers and the people at that table. Your name, organization and email are kept for the event you are on, for the organizers of that event. Contact details you add on your page are shown only to the people you choose.

Research

By taking part you consent to what the room produces — answers, votes, word clouds, questions, and what tables write — being used, without your name or email, for research into how groups think and decide together, and to improve SYNRG. Anything published from that research is aggregated or anonymised; nobody is named or quoted in a way that identifies them without asking first.

On the screen means public

Anything the room sends to the big screen — a word, a question, a vote — can be seen, photographed or recorded by the people in the room. Keep to yourself anything you would not want shown. Do not send anything you do not have the right to share, anything that identifies another person without their agreement, or anything abusive, threatening, sexual or unlawful; the organizers and SYNRG can remove it and block access without notice.

Your notes and downloads

Notes you type on your phone stay on your phone; nobody else sees them. Slides you save or download are for your own use — what is on them belongs to the speaker or the organizers.

Age

Joining a room from a phone collects nothing about who you are. To sign in to an event's page, or to have answers tied to you, you must be 13 or older (16 outside the United States) unless the organizers have your parent's or guardian's permission.

Your choices

You can take yourself off an event's people list, keep your contact details to yourself, and ask the organizers to remove you from the event. On a table's page, a card can be changed or removed by its author or the scribe.

Who is responsible

The organizers of the event are responsible for what they ask and for how they use the answers. SYNRG (NXT Move Inc) runs the tool and keeps the data as described here and in the privacy page. These terms are governed by Texas law. Questions: events@synrg.live.
